Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Sign

We are utilizing Adobe Sign across the organization for several different processes, including travel requests, independent contracts, authorizations with our clients, and various individual needs. The tool has streamlined our workflow and our processes take much less time than they used to. Managers also like that they can process requests from wherever they are when they have time.
  • Speed of Initiating Workflows.
  • Highly Customizable.
  • Integration with Other Platforms.
  • Support for Accessibility Features.
  • Automatic Detection of Fields on Templates.
  • Assigning Workflows to Multiple Groups/Departments.
  • Time to Process Lowered (Management).
  • Initial Learning Curve Greater (Administrators).
  • Ability to Keep Track of In-Process Workflows Greatly Increased (Org.-wide).
For the most part, when we have needed assistance, it was given. However, we have run into several issues on the back-end of the product that seem like things we should be able to correct or change ourselves, but required having our support representative handle for us. I believe this is a hold-over from the product's previous iteration before joining the Adobe company.
The tool itself is fairly user-friendly for both end-users and administrators. There are, however, some features that would greatly increase our satisfaction and usefulness of the tool. (Example: Adding more options for conditional logic in forms - Like adding a secondary signer when a field totals over a dollar amount.) We were advised that this kind of functionality is available, but that it requires an add-on that would increase our cost for the platform more than 10-fold.
The education industry in general tends to hold on to existing methods longer than some in my experience. Our organization is generally willing to explore new methods in order to meet the needs of our clients more efficiently. While some of the organizations we work with have similar solutions in place, the vast majority are still processing approvals on paper.

We chose Adobe Sign because it most closely met our needs. Examples of features that other products didn't have include publicly available forms (anyone can sign outside the organization), the ability to customize or make your own forms, and submission-based pricing models. In general, all of these products were very similar and it mostly came down to which platform was closest to our specific needs at the time.
Adobe Sign is very well suited for any workflow that requires a signature when that workflow is used by either a single department or across the entire organization. Our most difficult obstacle has been workflows that are used across just a couple of departments. In addition, forms do not have many options for conditional responses. This has led us to create multiple workflows or forms where a single one would have been sufficient. (Example: A travel authorization under $500 needs only one approval, but over $500 requires two. Instead of designing a dynamic form that can handle both, we have had to create two separate workflows and forms.)
