Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Sign

Our graduate program includes a student internship opportunity that requires paperwork from school representatives, students, and internship sites. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, our department needed to transition from paper agreements to an e-sign program with the ability to legally track and ensure electronic signatures. Adobe Sign allowed us to collect signatures from all parties remotely. Our department is currently the only team in our organization that uses Adobe Sign.
  • For organizations that need to ensure the legal integrity of their documents, Adobe Sign tracks when each party opens and signs the document. When all parties have finished signing, the program creates a summary of IP addresses and signatures that is attached to the end of the document. The final PDF is protected and is not amendable afterward.
  • Adobe Sign is very user friendly and guides the signer through the document, indicating where to sign. Even users who are unfamiliar with the program find it easy to use.
  • Adobe Sign allows the sender to prefill and customize each form. This simplifies the signing process, since other signers are only able to sign in the spaces that have been assigned to them.
  • More transparency from Adobe regarding the number of documents included per package. Adobe regulates this by the number of "transactions" per package, but made it difficult to determine what constitutes a "transaction" (a document, or the number of times a document is signed?).
  • Better customer support. Attempts to clarify questions about the program were passed off between multiple phone lines within Adobe and calls were sometimes dropped.
  • One downside to Adobe Sign is that if someone makes a mistake on a form, it cannot be unlocked or amended (a new document/transaction must be used). I understand that this is to protect the legal integrity of the document, but this can be inconvenient.
  • Adobe Sign allowed our program to go completely online at a pivotal time in our students' program process, right as the COVID-19 pandemic began. This has allowed us to complete our required legal paperwork electronically so that students could continue their education as usual. We now have the option of conducting our program remotely.
  • Adobe Sign streamlined the signing process of our legal documents substantially. We no longer have to chase down signatures from multiple parties on a physical document.
  • Being able to custom build and oversee each document has helped our department track where our documents are in the signing process at any given time. This has simplified our workflow and cut out a lot of extra communication that is no longer necessary.
Adobe's customer support was not as robust or easy to use as we would have liked. It was difficult to get straight answers from customer support reps around pricing and what our package included during the purchasing process. After setup, if we had questions about our account we would have to call Adobe Support again since online customer support resources are often confusing and unhelpful. There was no clear representative who could answer our questions, so we would be passed off between multiple phone extensions within the company, and calls were often dropped.
Adobe Sign makes the e-sign process very easy. The ability to streamline the signing process and build custom documents makes this product very efficient. The program itself has a very clean and user-friendly design that makes it clear how to use. Even people who are more technologically challenged or are unfamiliar with e-sign software find this product easy to use.
Our graduate program involves an internship opportunity that requires a variety of legal documentation to be signed by school representatives, students, and the internship site. This includes liability forms, as well as legal forms for the state licensing board. Adobe Sign allows us to coordinate the students' internship documentation between all parties concerned completely remotely, and ensures the legal validity of the e-signatures.

Other e-sign programs like DocuSign and HelloSign offer comparable services to Adobe Sign. Ultimately, we went with Adobe Sign because there was a sale price, and their package (# transactions/documents included for the price) had better value. HelloSign is a great option for users who will not need to have a ton of documents signed (their lowest package is free), and for those who do not need all the legal assurances that Adobe Sign incorporates. DocuSign is comparable to Adobe Sign, but we found we got a better package with Adobe Sign and that Adobe was more straightforward to use.
Adobe Sign is great for any work setting where documents with multiple signatures are required, especially when the signing process must be completed remotely. This program is recommended for organizations that need to ensure the legal integrity of documents since it provides a variety of security tools.

Organizations that do not have many agreements to sign each year and that do not need the added legal/security devices may find other e-sign products to be more beneficial and less expensive.
