Overall Satisfaction with ADP SmartCompliance
We use ADP SmartCompliance exclusively in payroll. It helps us to address outstanding tax issues, submit notices from agencies, manage our tax profiles, view our invoices and funding, manage our ADP Wisely cards, and manage our wage payments (FSDD and ADP Check). Previously my current company was either managing tax issues manually or not at all which resulted in penalties and audits. SmartCompliance is the best way for us to manage all of our entities jurisdictions.

- Allows SUI rate updates any time
- Manage ADP Wisely pay cards which has allowed us to discontinue cutting manual payroll checks in-house for off cycle payments
- Reverse Direct Deposits or place Stop Payments quickly
- Upload tax notices as well as mark them for escalation
- Makes it really easy to add new jurisdictions
- Communication within the tax notice resolution is limited and should be better
- It would be nice to be able to update an item marked as resolved, like reopen it if it's not resolved
- It would be great to be able to pull better reporting for stale dated checks

- It has reduced the manual work of having to contact the agencies ourselves to resolve outstanding items
- Gives us one place to manage all of our entities taxes
- The ability to instantly fund Wisely cards for off cycle payments to employees has been a lifesaver during the pandemic when everyone is working remotely

This product allows us to keep track of our agency notices in one place which is important as we have over 200 jurisdictions between state and locals. We're able to pull reporting when needed and review the Statements of Deposit for every quarter. ADP is also really great about sending out communications pertaining to updates and regulatory changes that could affect us.
We have had mixed experience with the personnel working in ADP's tax department. There are some individuals that are very knowledgeable and there are others who are not that have created challenges for us. My recommendation for anyone looking at this service is once you have found a knowledgeable resource, go back to them with questions or request a dedicated resource.
