Overall Satisfaction with ADP Workforce Now

Workforce Now is used by HR to help manage employee additions/changes related to wages and benefits. The whole organization uses information from WFN, but the software and reporting is managed by HR. WFN helps address internal control between HR and Payroll for changes to employees, it helps with annual benefit enrollment and ACA reporting, and it helps managers track when performance evals are due.
  • Ability to quickly add or make changes to employee records.
  • Helps streamline open enrollment with carrier feeds.
  • Able to run reports to obtain data related to when performance evals are due, or determine number of staff, or identify what benefits people have selected.
  • We would like to explore providing access to managers to input changes into a temporary area and then have HR electronically approve. Also we would like to explore what we might want employees to access and how to maximize use of WFN.
  • Fees for the product are based on per active employee. However, for reporting writing purposes we do not wish to archive employees immediately. This is costly. In addition, we have a lot of temporary or on-call staff that these fees are charged. It would make more sense for us to be billed based on who we pay each payroll. It is also very costly to initiate new carrier feeds so when our insurance changes, this is an additional expense we need to consider before a decision is made.
  • We recently experienced some unexpected turnover and need to explore cross training and access to ensure we have adequate coverage and backup. Having a single assigned contact to help us would have been more supportive and appreciated.
  • Product is very expensive.
  • We did investigate if the ADP product could capture our account string, so our journal entry to record payroll expense could be automated and our string is too large and the number of areas employees work exceed the capabilities. This would be a time savings for us if ADP could automate this process.
  • Carrier feeds were helpful for open enrollment, but changes in carriers are costly.
Paycor was unable to handle our vacation and sick accruals and ADP was able to accurately calculate this detail. However, Paycor was much less expensive and if our accruals change, we may look to less expensive alternatives to process HR/payroll.
Well suited: employee adds/changes; open enrollment.
Need to develop our staff to use reportwriting to obtain better data.
We need more information after the sale to determine if we are maximizing the use of this tool.
