Overall Satisfaction with Asana
I am a web designer/developer and I work with various clients and numerous web projects. Asana allows us to identify tasks that need completed and to have a discussion about those tasks so that we make sure we are on the same page. It is also very helpful for documenting discussions and agreements.
- Creating tasks - it is easy to list what needs to be done.
- Setting due dates - it is also easy to list when those tasks should be done. It also reminds you when due dates are approaching.
- Discussion of tasks - it is easy to maintain a comment thread on those tasks.
- I would like to see a the ability for tasks to be created under "projects" or "to do lists" so that when that when reviewing to do items they are in a section isolated from the other tasks. This might be terminology thing. I know you can create sub lists under tasks, but for some reason this is difficult for my clients to see and remember.
- The priority headings are not very helpful. Should be able to group things like I mentioned above.
- Better customer service
- Efficient communication
- Ability to share assets with team members
- Documenting project decisions
I think the UI of Asana is better on most measures EXCEPT when it comes to grouping tasks or to do lists. Basecamp also does a better job with tracking time. I subscribe to Harvest so that has been great with Asana, but if I didn't want to use Harvest, the time tracking tools are not present.
