Overall Satisfaction with Atera

Atera is used within the entire organization to help manage computers for others. This management includes scripted cleanups, scripted updates, scripted security fixes, and remote support. This pricing and functionality of this product has been instrumental in keeping cost low while providing a fantastic tool for helping others and keeping their environment safe (and manageable).
  • Pricing can't be beat.
  • Ease of agent deployment.
  • Shared scripting repository is very useful and growing daily.
  • General ease of use of the product.
  • Clean user interface.
  • Light client-agent.
  • Product seems to still be in the early stages.
  • General navigation within some modules needs work.
  • Grouping of devices could use some work.
  • Low startup and monthly cost has been key.
  • Ability to easily support clients from afar is huge help.
  • Easy ability of patch management for clients.
I've used many other RMM tools (ConnectWise, LPI, N-Central, Datto). Atera offered easy startup, low monthly cost, no contract commitment, easy deployment, and the ability to have an RMM tool ready to go and allow me to start making money immediately.
When needed, their technical support has been quick and efficient. There are quick, easy-to-view product videos to help with starting up, which was a big help. The low cost and general ease-of-use are the biggest factors that have provided benefit.
The combination of tools is yet another reason I chose this product. They work well, get the job done, integrates with the applications I need (like accounting), and provides everything a small MSP would be looking for. Once again, this is what I consider getting the best "bang for the buck!"
This product currently seems best suited for smaller MSPs and those looking for great "bang for the buck". I have used many other RMM tools, and it seems this one would be a little more difficult to manage for large-scale deployments. Although the scripting works well, pushing groups of scripts isn't intuitive and is more difficult than other RMM tools I've used.
