Overall Satisfaction with Automox
We use this in place of an onsite WSUS service. It has truly addressed our need to get our devices fully patched and up to day. Prior to the use of this, we had an onsite WSUS and it was absolutly awful to manage and keep onine. One of the biggest hurdles to overcome was the capturing of devices after they left our network, and with the Automox agent installed, these devices have been able to be updated as long as they are connected to the internet with no crazy VPN settings.

- Capturing real time inventory of devices wherever they are
- Alerting us to vulnerabilities on devices in real time.
- The login portion is a little clunky.
- Some of the menus can be confusing if you don't know what you are looking for.
- SSO integration could use some work.

We used to use Microsoft WSUS and it was an awful experience. This service was great in theory, but the device had to be tethered to our network at all times for the updates to process. We have a massive fleet of laptops that travel not only from building to building but to and from home. WSUS couldn't keep up. Not to mention the WSUS Services would never stay running, and almost always stall out. I had to put the service in our network monitoring tool and trigger a restart of the service if it was detected to go down. Not really all that convenient if you ask me.
