Broadvoice was the option we chose to facilitate easier telecommunications when we changed offices and didn't want to be tied down to traditional office phones.

Broadvoice was the option we chose to facilitate easier telecommunications when we changed offices and didn't want to be tied down to traditional office phones. In this, it is helpful.

However, tech support is awful and condescending. The new app is horrible - it takes away existing-app functionality and does not add anything besides a more modern skin. When we reached out to find out how to do the things we're already doing (such as scheduling Do Not Disturb at certain times of day for each team member) we're told the new app does not allow for that and that they can't tell us when they might be looking to add that to the new app.

Our onboarding was less than ideal and my overall picture of the tech support team at this company is that they think you should already know how to fix complex telephony issues and they wonder why you are bothering them when their product is not working. For instance, when the entire system (for all of Broadvoice) was down for several days, we called and were told that we had done something wrong on our phones and needed to uninstall and reinstall the smartphone app.

I have high hopes that Broadvoice can turn things around and they were the best fit for us in a really tough market (easy telephony services for professionals in a very small company) but I absolutely would not recommend them to anyone right now.
