Overall Satisfaction with Ceridian Dayforce
Dayforce is being used organization-wide as the HRIS. It resolved a lot of administration as pre-Dayforce the organization operated solely on spreadsheets.
- Performance: the setup and the forms are user-friendly.
- Payroll: I act as the backup for payroll processing and the training needed was minimal.
- SOX compliance: we have not implemented manager & employee self-service, however, knowing that approvals are tracked within the system will be hugely beneficial.
- Balances, entitlements, and TAFW: it’s was not implemented well and remains very buggy.
- XML forms: Ceridian should look into a WYSIWYG feature for designing forms (e.g. drag-and-drop fields onto a form template).
- Roles and security: access to locations should be based on roles not based on individuals.
- Work assignments: this feature leaves a lot of room for error (e.g. previous assignments should be end-dated automatically).
- Dayforce has allowed the HR team to be less manual and we’re constantly finding ways to automate more processes.
Having all the information on one platform has been a huge time saver.
I used to work in HR outsourcing where the client companies had hodge-podge PeopleSoft with other solutions. It was difficult having to explain to managers and employees about “feed timelines” or why data was not accurate. Having everything on one platform eliminates this pain point.
