Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Webex Teams (formerly Cisco Spark)
We have been using Cisco Webex Teams within our Support Team since it was originally Project Squared, right through the Cisco Spark days, and up until now. We use it to collaborate and share information to help each other to troubleshoot and discuss end-user issues with equipment and services we support. We have increased the scope of this to also communicate with some of our external suppliers to easily request and receive quotations for work or equipment. This allows us to be much more responsive and get information back and forth between people or companies very quickly and easily, from any device we may be carrying at the time (Phone, Laptop, Tablet, etc).
- Easy access from any type of device.
- Contains all communications over time - can scroll back, or search easily to find information.
- Quick and secure messaging.
- Formatting of text has been a little lacking, however is slowly improving.
- Threading of responses, as not all conversations are linear in timing.
- We are currently using the "Free" version of Cisco Webex Teams, so there has been no negative impact.
- One negative of the "Free" version is there is limited control, but this can be resolved using the "Premium" version.
Using standards-based communications (i.e. SIP) for video and voice, it is easy to integrate Cisco Webex Teams with other Voice and Video applications and services, unlike the Skype product which is very proprietary and is not as easy to integrate with without expensive bridging devices. We use Cisco Webex Teams regularly to communicate with Cisco Webex Room Kit (and other Cisco TelePresence) endpoints.
