Overall Satisfaction with Deputy

Deputy is used across my whole business to enable staff to sign on in a flexible workplace. The GPS system is also advantageous as staff can complete tasks off-site and sign off with a marker of their last location.

  • Plugin to automatically enter public holidays.
  • Time saved in payroll.
  • Time saved in planning.
  • Time saved in communication.
I have not used any other products like Deputy.

The app system is very user-friendly for all levels of staff and I have not yet experienced any major issues with the software. My business provides an introduction to deputy during a new employees first shift at the business to allow a smooth transaction although I feel this may not be required.
Deputy software syncs directly with most accounting platforms including Xero. This made the transition very simple as my existing staff were automatically onboarded into the platform. The app is supported on most devices and therefore is very easy to implement.
Deputy is very well suited to a variety of business sizes. I recommend installing a tablet at the entry to the workplace so that employees can sign on as they please. This removes the need for employees to use their personal phones which is important in a food business like mine. Additionally, Deputy would be very beneficial for situations where staff work remotely (e.g., construction workers) as you can see the GPS location that they signed in at.
