Overall Satisfaction with DocuSign

We use it within our Land Development and Project Management departments for awarding and approving contracts. We recently went to a paperless system, so this allows us to store and view our contractual documents outside of a conventional filing system. I believe we use DocuSign company wide, in other departments as well.
  • Editing envelope contents is easy
  • Training requirements is minimal and thus easy to use
  • Tracking where the document is in the signing process is easy. I can make follow-up phone calls or emails or personal visits to individuals who are delaying the progress of the completion of the document.
  • When adding recipients, previously entered names or emails (first few letters of name or email are entered in), sometimes do not show up easily. There is some glitch there, which may or may not be on our network's end of things
  • Voiding an entire document/envelope is a pain, especially if only some small revision or correction is required. I am unaware of the possibility to correct one part of the document even once sent out, rather than void and redo. I would like to see some type of correction option while the document is out, rather than a complete void.
  • I am not involved in the financial aspect of DocuSign within my company.
I am unfamiliar with any other similar products.
DocuSign is perfect for situations where proximity of signers prohibits the ability to do so in person. The speed at which documents can be signed and completed despite geographic separation is ideal. Also, the ability for the documents to maintain their original, viewable format, without loss of visual integrity as compared to faxing back and forth for signatures, is superior.
I can't think of a scenario, at least in my experience, where DocuSign is less appropriate.
