Overall Satisfaction with Eventbrite

We use Eventbrite mostly on the marketing team to support events that we host, as well as events that we sponsor. We use Eventbrite to sell tickets, manage registrations, and manage attendees for various events that typically include 15-200 people. We have used the platform both for small cocktail receptions or dinners, as well as for larger-scale multi-day events.
  • Eventbrite does a great job of allowing you to sell tickets and manage the pricing of each ticket. Additionally, you can offer discounts and set up discount codes pretty easily.
  • Eventbrite makes it easy to set up an event. The time it takes to launch an Eventbrite page is very minimal.
  • Eventbrite makes it easy to manage attendees at an onsite event.
  • The overall UI is a bit clunky and outdated - The events page are usually not very attractive, so we have had to create our own pages that link to the Eventbrite registration
  • The back end is not the most intuitive either. Sometimes you have to click around a lot before you find what you are trying to do.
  • It is a great service, but the fees can really add up.
  • Eventbrite has helped us track registrants to events, which then allows our sales team an inside look at who may be most interested in our offerings.
  • Eventbrite has allowed us to sell tickets for a fee to some of our events. However, their fee per ticket is pretty high it seems.
  • Eventbrite makes it easy to set up event pages when we need something up quickly to promote a dinner or cocktail reception.
I did not evaluate other solutions, as our events manager was already familiar with the backend of this system.
Their support team could use a bit of help, especially when we paid for development services. Their team was extremely disappointing as they are very slow to respond and do not listen well to requests. The account manager was also not very helpful and did not seem to care when the team did not deliver as expected.

Are you happy with Eventbrite's feature set?

Yes

Did Eventbrite live up to sales and marketing promises?

No

Did implementation of Eventbrite go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Eventbrite again?

Yes

Eventbrite is very appropriate if you are looking to sell tickets for an event and then manage the registrations and attendees. I think it is particularly useful for free events and can also be great when selling paid tickets. Eventbrite is not the best if you are trying to develop a website or webpage - their development team is not very helpful with that.
