Overall Satisfaction with GiveSmart

Gretna Productions Inc uses GiveSmart for fundraising activities as it relates to silent auctions, events, and donor appeals. It is used primarily by the Development Department and Gala Committee, but all staff members are trained in GiveSmart to enable appropriate customer service to our donors. The use of this programming allows us to interact with a large portion of our donors - despite location - by providing virtual access to our fundraising activities.

  • Ease for staff to enter content and manage gifts
GiveSmart enabled us to have a Livestream event hosted directly in the same bidding/giving screen - which made it so easy for our donors as we transitioned to a virtual event in response to COVID19. OneCause was more expensive and included a transaction fee for each purchase/donation/winning bid, which would affect the percentage of funds we could keep from each gift and allowed us to be transparent in where the money would go. Greater Giving seemed a little too new for us and they were behind the ball in unveiling the capability to host a Livestream on the platform.
GiveSmart's support/help center is such a great resource, especially as you are starting to create your campaigns and pages for your event. Any time I was struggling to locate the answer, I was able to quickly chat [with] someone from the support team and receive a quick answer. They are able to directly access your campaign and can pinpoint an issue!
I love using the Customer Support team at GiveSmart! They are quick to respond, efficient in their answers, and can help with [troubleshooting] when you want to use the platform creatively.
GiveSmart is great for small to mid-size nonprofits who run at least one major fundraising event annually and plan to solicit donations for a campaign. GiveSmart is probably not suitable for large nonprofits who run multiple events because you have to change your keyword for Text to Register/Text to Give for each campaign, and that would be confusing for repeat attendees/donors.
