Overall Satisfaction with GiveSmart

We use GiveSmart Fundraise primarily as our online donation software. We have also used it for event pages for different fundraising events and were users of MobileCause before it was bought out by GiveSmart. It serves as an event fundraising platform as well as point of service credit card processor when you use it alongside the MobileCause app. We have also used it for hybrid and live-stream events effectively.
  • The event pages are excellent. They offer just the right amount of flexibility while making sure the user gets a clean experience. My only qualm with them is that they are housed on the GiveSmart URL and there is no way to house them on our URL.
  • It processes payments smoothly and efficiently with no hassle for donors.
  • It has some basic reporting on campaign transactions.
  • It has some very solid P2P fundraising features.
  • Their customer service team does an excellent job of working with clients (Shoutout to our amazing Customer success manager Carissa Jay!).
  • It doesn't have a Mailchimp integration which is an unfortunate downside for us.
  • The ticketing and check-in feature is painfully slow when trying to check people into an event. This is true even with fast wifi/data.
  • It has definitely increased our online fundraising effectiveness. We have seen our number of online donors grow significantly during our usage of it.
  • It also makes it really easy to get and keep recurring donors.
  • Their donation forms hit the sweet spot of customizability and ease of use.
We use GiveGab every year for an event called IdahoGives. It is effective, but I would definitely not switch from GiveSmart to it.
It is easy to build donation pages that look and feel great. All of them are excellent in terms of their mobile responsiveness. We've never had any technical issues with our donation forms and our donors have a great experience when they use them. The software itself is pretty intuitive for anyone familiar with this kind of software.
The customer support and success team is fantastic! Even through a merger, they have done an excellent job of continuing to care for clients to make sure we have everything we need. Our customer success manager Carissa is fantastic and has done an incredible job helping us through the complexities of our account.
It has the right amount of customizability for our organization. We are able to make the customer-facing forms and pages look and feel very much inline with the Genesis Brand. The only two qualms that I have is that the GiveSmart logo appears at the bottom of all the forms that we make, and I haven't yet found a way to remove it. The second is that there is no way to customize the URLs of the activity landing pages.
We have used the add-on services of their campaign support. Their team does a great job of building out the pages for you so that they look and feel excellent. So, if you are someone who doesn't have time to learn the software and needs someone to do it for you this is a great option for you.

Probably my favorite aspect of GiveSmart Fundraise is how easy it is to make excellent event fundraising pages that are easy to navigate. The text to give and mobile responsiveness of the event pages and forms is excellent. The analytics are there but don't expect anything more than basic campaign tracking, but it is effective. The point-of-service credit card donation app is effective and generally works smoothly.
