Overall Satisfaction with Gong

The main use is low-tenured teams and new managers with a strong focus on coaching reps both on the sales process and consultative selling of our solutions.
Also, as a learning tool for new reps and to understand better how some industries operate.
It occasionally is used to refer back to notes and work deals backward in order to fill in other teams coming into our current deals.
  • Easy to use, easy to give coaching both written and direct
  • Easy to add to calls
  • Easy to tag employees, hot topics and common issues
  • Feedback, coaching and pipeline management tools
  • Pipeline management, why would I use Gong vs. a sales management tool
  • Price
  • Spanish translation is poor
  • Difficult to measure
  • Time savings in async coaching vs. only in 1:1s
  • Deeper conversations in 1:1s
  • Time savings in not having to go through the same things with clients, simply going back to calls and reviewing them save meetings time
Great tool, great training, and content around sales. Love it! It is getting difficult to prove ROI and justify growing high prices.

It is easy to tag clients from different industries; thus, it makes it easier to find industry topics and review the best calls related to those industries, challenges, or similar pain points for similar stakeholders.
It has nothing customized yet. But I do use a lot of all Gong content. I find it great!

I have not made use of this to its full extent, so for now, I can't comment much here.

Now I would suggest helping clients better understand this and configure it, thus making better use of it and probably adding value to our perception.
For now, I don't have enough insights since my awareness and understanding of this other tool are very limited.

Do you think Gong delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Gong's feature set?

Yes

Did Gong live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Gong go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Gong again?

Yes

It is more suited for teams that could aggregate budgets and use it as a whole department; otherwise, the price could be too high. Very good sales content published regularly, useful to train teams in best practices.

Be mindful of prices for smaller clients that can not probably afford the prices charged. Not suitable if you are looking for sales management software, the deal alerts are not yet that good.
