Overall Satisfaction with Gong

We used Gong to record, transcribe, and give us deeper insights into sales calls and even internal meetings. Gong allowed us to review and train on prior sales calls and find the most important insights in those calls. Those insights allowed us to train for future calls and provide deeper value to prospects after demos.

Gong does accomplish what it sets out to do. If you have the time to use it well, you can reduce close time on deals and win more. However, it can be incredibly time-consuming and sometimes painful to have all calls recorded. Perhaps my team used it differently but we generally found it insightful.
Gong absolutely did provide insights into calls that helped me close deals. I'm not sure that it was ever anything revolutionary, but it was helpful to have some AI working in the background to help me learn and review customer info. Gong is expensive but gets the job it promises done.
I like that Gong captures my whole conversation with a customer, and then I can go back, grab any notes I might have missed, take snippets of conversations, and send them across my org from different departments. I can capture conversations where customers are struggling, and I don't have to stop to take notes during the conversation to pass on to a CSM - It's all recorded, and the CSM can listen at their convenience. So many helpful ways that Gong makes life easier across departments and helps drive insights into the market.

Gong, when it works and is utilized well, allowed our team to review sales calls for improvements and gaps in our demos. It is great when you have an enablement team who can invest time in using the tool for coaching and feedback. It is not great with enablement, and no one to coach you from recordings. If your team is tight on time, it may shorten time to close but wont save you hours of having to review calls.
