Overall Satisfaction with GoTo Connect
We mostly use GoTo Connect as a phone system within our company. VOIP is nice to use at our remote mine sites where we only require an internet connection to make it work. It helps to keep people connected, and we've deployed Yealink video phones. Hence, we have instant video calls to accompany the audio portion which is a big help in keeping people connected when working remotely.
- Voice calls
- Video calls
- Messaging
- Softphone quality
- Software updates
- Software ease of use
- Cost savings due to consolidating multiple phone options into one product offering
- A consistent bill that we can rely on each month
- Time savings with very little IT overhead management required
Not that well, shortly after we rolled out GoToConnect, we rolled out Office 365. People much preferred the experience of Microsoft Teams for messaging, video meetings, etc., so all of the unified communications plans we had for GoToConnect fell by the wayside, and it's now used solely for instant video calls and audio calls.
Microsoft Teams is far superior for the ease of use and meeting audio/video quality, however, GoToConnect is much more cost-effective, I doubt I could get those same features for the same price with Microsoft's ecosystem.
