Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use GoTo meeting to overcome some of the performance issues we've experienced with other web conferencing products. GoTo has more advanced features and the general interface is presented in an intuitive way which enables our staff to use it unaided in a variety of ways, remote parents evenings, cross site meetings, external party meetings, and even remote learning with pupils. The overall cost of the platform, we find, is very competitive.

Alternatives Considered

Microsoft Teams and Zoom

GoTo requires less time to get going. Very straightforward to setup and get users using the system. Microsoft Teams for instance requires alot of backend setup and administering where as we can simply enroll out senior leadership team to manage GoTo meetings from their account by simply adding them as users and then they are empowered with the relevant permissions to grown their own departments.
GoTo Security feels more robust, when compared to Zoom for instance, and doesn't seem to be overly drawn out.

Likelihood to Recommend

Our teaching staff particularly find the GoTo platform well suited for remote parents evenings. Reaching out to make appointments is a breeze and links and instructions can emailed in a heartbeat to mailing lists. Remote learning is possible for our pupils using GoTo but doesn't provide assignment and marking features. This isn't a game changer for us as we user other platforms as well, the video conferencing is the main driver.
