Overall Satisfaction with GoToWebinar
We used it primarily within the marketing department and sales departments. We had used it loosely within other departments like services as needed but not as a high usage like marketing and sales. Marketing used it consistently to showcase new ideas to our customer base. Sales would utilize it to help showcase our strengths and what the solution would entail.
Pros
- GoToWebinar allows for a high number of attendees to watch your demonstration.
- GoToWebinar allowed for practice runs before a scheduled meeting.
Cons
- GoToWebinar didn't have the ability to allow contributors to control other contributor screens.
- GoToWebinar didn't provide a file to download presentations, instead you had to register (which was fine) and then watch it on a browser.
We grew into GoToWebinar by starting out with GoToMeeting. It offered really good pricing when we were a smaller user base. As we grew, we found some of our internal meetings and external meetings couldn't handle the number of users we were adding. Thus it just made sense to start using GoToWebinar. Compared to other tools it was affordable and had more features like dial in numbers across the globe. We eventually did switch to a different product when we acquired another firm. This new tool we use isn't as user-friendly as GoToWebinar is. I never did look into the cost structure as we expanded recently and made the decision to go to this other tool, but I am certain it was due to costs.
