Overall Satisfaction with Guru

The knowledge base is a one-stop location for all of the needs and resources for day-to-day interactions, extremely useful and very critical to the day-to-day operations of the team members. We use Guru as a location for all of our cards and resources on all of the company's internal information, so we don't need to mess around with bookmarks, etc.; we often have collections of cards created so we can easily find cards that we would frequently visit at a moments notice. The ability to use the app in a floating window above our current browser also makes it very easy to use when dealing with large volumes or even when it's very busy. The search function is very handy as it's extremely in-depth; one mention of the searched word can pull up hundreds of cards, which is handy when you can't quite remember the title of a card or the specific collection you left it in.

  • Needing log in to okta every day but that may be more organisation issue.
  • I don't have those specifics as I am just support but it's a great tool.
I haven't used an alternative to Guru in other roles or this job; it's our only knowledge base source. Google wouldn't really count, as that's not company-specific.

We use Guru for searching and looking up resources, so we do not need to have dozens or hundreds of bookmarked tabs; we know exactly where our information is stored, so it's easily found. There are no issues with any scenarios where it's less appropriate; it's a vital daily tool in our role.
