Overall Satisfaction with HireVue

We have used HireVue across the majority of the areas of our business. It has allowed us to refine our screening process and in general, hire better people.

Pros

  • Convenience to interview whenever/wherever.
  • Saves time - people can evaluate on the schedule that's best for them.
  • Customization.

Cons

  • Having to create a totally new position if you want to change anything in a question.
  • Increased efficiency from those involved in the selection process.
  • We don't have to spend dollars on people to audition for our positions in person.
We use HireVue to audition live trivia hosts as well as for standard positions (office staff, engineers, etc.). We have found that the customization allowed makes it useful for most scenarios we encounter during our selection and interview process.

Questions can be edited on a position as long as candidates have not started on their interviews within the position. If one candidate starts the interview with the old questions, and another candidate completes the interview with the new/edited questions, that wouldn't be totally fair to the first candidate.
