IBM Security Access Manager (ISAM), legacy product

Overall Satisfaction with IBM Security Verify

IBM Security Verify is a single identity-as-a-service (IDaaS) solution that delivers both workforce modernization and consumer digital transformation. While more readily available than other ID-verifying software, it is clearly the first of its generation - slow, clunky, and not at all user-friendly. I would prefer an updated version, or perhaps a different software altogether.
  • thorough
  • detailed
  • lots of options (if you know how to use it)
  • IBM-backed
  • WAY too clunky - (can take me a long time to find what I'm looking for)
  • think of the USER EXPERIENCE !
  • Needs updating, more modern software is available that offers the same features with fewer headaches.
  • Slowed down the hiring and credential verifying services
  • difficulty specializing specifically to one department/team
It is almost always available. they do updates at night, minimizing the effect of upgrades. It is always around, it is just old and maybe needs to start from scratch to get a better product for nowadays. It is almost always available during business hours when you need it. for 24/7 companies it may be more difficult to time the upgrades so that it does not affect your work.
Low rating here. NOT very configurable. Even though the configurability is higher than some other software -- GOOD LUCK FINDING IT. it can be a hassle to even change simple settings like avatars and color themes. If you have to get into the nitty-gritty of the program, you better have an advanced degree in computers!
I don't care for the IBM Security Verify. I find it old and clunky compared to newer programs that offer the same service. IBM was selected because we are a large organization, and we need the reassurances that only large (think Microsoft, alphabet, IBM, Dell, etc) can offer. Overall I am not impressed and wish my organization would upgrade to a better Security Verification system.

Do you think IBM Security Verify delivers good value for the price?

No

Are you happy with IBM Security Verify's feature set?

No

Did IBM Security Verify live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of IBM Security Verify go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy IBM Security Verify again?

No

A large, old bureaucratic organization who have a hard time switching from one software throughout their entire enterprise to smaller more modern applications would benefit. IBM is well known and can contact customer support easily. The only problem is customer support may or may not be able to help you, as, again, it is a clunky machine and not user-friendly. Small, fast, start-up and agile companies need to look elsewhere for ID-verification services, or else they risk getting 'bogged down in the IBM Security Verify ecosystem.
