Overall Satisfaction with Insightly

We were in need of a database in which to store client information (and which could be easily accessible by all team members), track various client "journeys," and send emails to mailing lists. We also wanted to keep an email trail for each client in a centralized location.
  • Outlook connector - easy button to add emails sent to clients to Insightly
  • Client profiles - comprehensive storage of client data
  • Client journeys - being able to track and capture the stage that a client is in
  • Lack of ability to edit certain categories (for example, including multiple email addresses for a client)
  • Text editing - limited functionality in terms of style options (highlighting text, etc.)
  • Lag between CRM and marketing sides - have to get an admin to update the crossover
  • Marketing calls clients "prospects" - unwieldy and doesn't make sense, since we also have a category for "prospects" in our CRM that means something else
  • Overall, the system has allowed us to easily access client info (which we struggled with previously because a lot of our info was decentralized).
Insightly is pretty easy to learn and use. I've had an overall positive experience working with it, with only a few issues, and always have felt like our Insightly rep was there to support us if we needed help. Super grateful for what Insightly has been able to provide for our business overall.
We have been able to coordinate across multiple team members using the informational ability of Insightly to grant us all access to certain shared information (and update it as needed).
Netsuite had a number of issues (including slowness and poor layout/design) which we struggled with. Insightly seemed to offer alternatives and overall boasted a better interface which we have been quite happy with so far.

Overall, I think Insightly works well for offices/businesses who have relatively simple and straightforward client processes (ours is not entirely this way - there's a lot that's so complex it cannot be encompassed by the modules Insightly offers). Also well suited for businesses who are sending out regular marketing emails and want to streamline the process.
