Overall Satisfaction with Progress Kendo UI
We use Kendo UI in our CRM, primarily to insure that our controls work across all browsers and to cut down on development time. The controls are attractive and easy to use, and allow enough customization points to give us the flexibility we need to create a competitive product offering.
- Kendo UI just works across different browsers and platforms.
- The controls have a robust eventing system that you can hook into for business logic.
- Support is always very responsive to any issues that we've had.
- Sometimes there aren't enough events to hook into, so you can get stuck with applying a workaround.
- It has made our effort to test our application much smaller because we don't have to worry about testing their controls against different browsers, freeing up our team to test only the parts that we are creating.
- Development time is sped up as our developers have become more used to working with the controls.
We went with Kendo after evaluating the different options because Telerik has a good reputation in the .Net developer world, and the initial review showed that Kendo would be easier to use and look better with minimal effort on our part. In the end it came down to the fact that we felt it would decrease development time the most, and it was the most visually appealing option.

Usability has to be #1, so many third party controls over time become hindrances rather than helpers, but I have never felt that way with Kendo
I evaluated Kendo several years ago. I have no regrets with the choice. Now there are newer competitors that I would evaluate, so it is not necessarily the process that I would change, but which competitors I would choose to evaluate.
