Overall Satisfaction with Kronos Workforce Central

It is used by our whole organization to manage out time for employees. We track vacation, sick, holiday, etc. in this system, as well as all clock-in and out punches. We have always been very pleased with this system. We even have some custom processes that work quite well for us.

  • With the help of Kronos we were able to create some custom processes that work very well for us.
  • In order to keep things separated for our individual work places for some reporting we had to create multiple versions of the same report with the different location parameters.
  • There are areas that we do not use that I think would be beneficial to our company.
  • While not the fault of Kronos, we do have interfaces both into and out of Kronos, and these do sometimes cause us problems.
  • It is easier to manage this system since we have moved it from on-premise to the cloud. I like that Kronos handles things like upgrades for us.
  • The cost of being in the cloud is definitely higher than operating on-premise.
  • While we don't have many, Kronos has always been willing to work with us on needed customizations.
We have had Kronos timekeeping for many years, and before this we used a very manual process. I was not a part of the team that chose the Kronos timekeeping system, so I really cannot say what other systems were considered for this application, if any. Kronos has done the job we needed.
We were able to create a custom process that will look at our different divisions and, depending on the division, modify the number of hours that something like holiday pay is granted for. We also pay based on a 13 week average to hourly paid employees, and we were able to create a custom process to build this procedure.
