Overall Satisfaction with LogMeIn Central

LogMeIn Central is being used by my IT/Tech department to increase accuracies, efficiencies, and securities in all of our other departments at the company.

  • Their new LogMeIn Antivirus Security Suite. It's off to a good start but needs to be proven in the industry before pushed to the company and customer machines in real-time
  • Mac LogMeIn Central functions are lacking for "behind the scenes" items that you can do. You can probably do them with terminal commands but why not setup some GUI templates that are easier to use?
  • LogMeIn needs a stronger MDM presence for both Windows and Mac devices
  • Time saved resolving technical support issues
  • Time saved preventing technical support issues thanks to the alerts and reporting that Central provides
  • Has allowed us to do the work of a three-person IT team with a single user
  • Has helped us optimize our Maintenance, Troubleshooting, and Installation workflows
The GUI for more advanced functions in the dashboard (more help tips/annotations on how to use something quickly) could use some simplifying refinements to help get you going quicker. Some of the scripting could be put in button form for quick ease of use. The Mac side of things with central works great on screen sharing/remote sessions but the dashboard/one2many side of things is lacking. If these items are improved, I would rate this a 10 easily!
Knock on wood, LogMeIn has never been not available. Their uptime is AMAZING!! The only reason I'm giving this 9 stars is the fact that the wake on LAN is basically worthless on PC and Mac (especially Macs) even when they are set up to WOL. So there have been times where these machines are unavailable. I have to leave these machines on without going to sleep which costs more money in electricity which could be better spent elsewhere.
TeamViewer is junk. TeamViewer is a free product trying to find its way into the enterprise world. GoToMyPC is slow and LogMeIn just bought them out. GoToMeeting works great for sessions but doesn't provide the central side of things and is a different type of product
LogMeIn Central works great in a corporate environment whether it's an enterprise or small business. Cloud is the future. LogMeIn Central being cloud-based allows ease of use for remote techs to dial in and troubleshoot end user issues or prevent issues.

LogMeIn is great for small consumer use, but the price point is what makes it less appropriate for a consumer user that wants these functions for maybe 1-2 home computers.
