Overall Satisfaction with Marketo

We use Marketo for the vast majority of outbound marketing, lead generation, landing page content and event registration and management, and some corporate client communications. And it's only used by our corporate marketing team.
  • Reporting, especially for our email marketing metrics is easy to run reports and provide to stakeholders.
  • Various functionality with landing pages is easy to implement.
  • The partner environment is vast and great.
  • Onboarding at least when I started was pretty simple, when in fact there are many aspects of Marketo that were not touched on.
  • Email deliverability is becoming harder and harder.
  • The environment can become very busy and messy.
I haven't used HubSpot in years, and onboarding and ease of use was better with HubSpot years ago, but there's more that can be done with Marketo.
Well suited for lead nurturing, landing page and content management, as well as corporate communications.

Marketo Support

I've never really had any issues with Marketo Support. Every time I've had to submit a case I've had my issues resolved usually within a day, if not sooner. And if I my case had to be escalated, it wasn't a choice of my own. It was the Marketo Support team that would escalate to find a solution.

Yes - There have been maybe 2-3 times over the course of 5-6 years I've been using Marketo that I've come upon a bug in the system. Generally it was escalated initially because the first Support person could not find a solution, but after that it was usually solved fairly quickly and didn't hinder my work.
I can't say I can name a specific instance, but in general I think Marketo Support has been great over the past few years in my experiences. They have been great at diagnosing issues as well as helping us decide on what is the best way to set up programs and other aspects of Marketo.
