Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365)

Microsoft 365 is used across our organization. The most frequently used apps are Outlook, Excel and Word. Teams is also used heavily among the technology business. PowerPoint is used throughout the organization, as well. Communication, collaboration, analysis, documentation and presentation are all covered with the suite of Microsoft 365 apps.
  • Microsoft 365 is the standard office solution at every company I've worked for.
  • Familiarity goes a long way. Not having to learn the nuances of a different spread sheet or word processor app saves time and effort.
  • Microsoft Teams really ties the suite together with it being a central point of collaboration and sharing.
  • There are some real helpful features within Word and Excel that are buried very deep. It's a double-edged sword. It's great to have this depth of functionality, but these features are so well hidden, that they are practically undiscoverable unless a guru shows you or you want to spend time reading a technical manual on Word or Excel.
  • Teams is great for collaboration, but can also become unwieldy. It becomes difficult to keep track of all pertinent communications across many teams, channels and threads.
  • Excel for crunching numbers, displaying metrics, tracking and sharing data, etc.
  • Word for technical and client-facing documentation.
  • Teams for collaboration among staff.
  • Outlook for communication and calendar.
  • As an end-user, I don't have this kind of data, but I'll say again that familiarity goes a long way. 365 (Formerly Office) has been the standard for years.
Google Docs, Sheets, Calendar, etc. were not available in the listings, but to me, these would be Microsoft's competition in this space. Google seemed to have basically copied what Microsoft has done with these apps [and] made them web-browser friendly and cloud-based. Microsoft has followed suit and also made [theirs] more web-friendly and cloud based. Google may have the slight edge in these areas, but Microsoft has the long-term familiarity.

Do you think Microsoft 365 delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Microsoft 365's feature set?

Yes

Did Microsoft 365 live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Microsoft 365 go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Microsoft 365 again?

Yes

I truly think it's suited for all businesses. The apps have been around and evolved for years. Microsoft 365 is the tried and true office suite of apps. So many people are familiar with these apps and choosing anything else will just mean most employees will need to expend a learning curve to get ramped up.
