Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Miro is used as a virtual whiteboard for diagrams and flows and is also used for documentation during software development. It's a collaborative tool where others can log in virtually and simultaneously make updates to the board with others in the group. We use this across the whole organization to help solve remote workshops.
  • Decision pathing.
  • Scrum boarding.
  • Sprint retro sessions.
  • Lots of addons - some are not great.
  • Wish they had a better way to display tables (besides the clunky addon).
  • Should have a bigger word limit on the text box feature.
  • Improved productivity.
  • Reduced times in email.
  • Consolidation of digital artifacts so everything lives in one spot and is available to everyone in real-time.
None - it's a stand-alone web app that can function on its own. They have a helpful service department you can call if you are having trouble with a license or if something isn't working right with your login. Very easy and painless implementation to your day-to-day activities.
SSO integration is pretty seamless. Again, it's a web app, so it's as easy as logging in. There might be some APIs, but I don't use any of those - average users would not either. They allow for 3rd party crowd-sourced add-ons that you can add to your instance by just selecting it from the library - no prior setup needed - just a few seconds the first time you use the add-on for initial activation.
I'm a consultant in cloud technology. I am usually on-site with clients, but Covid has not made that possible. We use Miro for our workshops so we can continue to work remotely without needing some fancy expensive equipment or risking our health by going on-site to the client's place of business.

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

I like Miro better. It is smoother and doesn't lock up or take forever to load as Lucidchart does. Plus, if you just want to see what's up there, you don't need to buy a license like Lucidchart makes you do. Overall, I would say Miro is the superior product.
Miro is good for working remotely with a client. Has a low-effort signup process and SSO authentication options so you can log right in. Good for presenting ideas and allowing remote contributors to add items in real-time without needing to refresh the screen. Also, if you have not logged in for a while, it shows you where others have made updates while you were away. Has good permissions systems to limit people to read/write/comment only.
