Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro in Digital Film Design for now. It helps us manage the project development process and keep track of creative results. It also helps organize mood images and references in a central place for each project team. Our teams are usually reasonably small (3-6) and we run a number of teams concurrently across the program.
  • It captures a creative thinking process by providing a blank canvas that can be organized as you want to.
  • It is textual as well as visual.
  • It allows managing across all media.
  • More and freely defined shapes.
  • A better organization and ranking of apps/plugins.
  • It improved our online communication and process mapping significantly.
It needs even more drawing tools and perhaps a better text alteration/highlighting, etc.
It is a standalone tool. Our organization might want a locally hosted solution.
In Covid times, this seems obvious. We had to start working online for months and Miro has supported this in a big way.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

No

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

The blank canvas approach is fantastic. I love the seemingly endless zoom-in/out function as well. Miro works like my brain does. Slightly chaotic, but with a sense of organization.
I think it is perfect as a companion to a project management tool (either agile or waterfall). In Miro, one can manage ideas, media, and creative processes. Deadlines, timelines, and milestones, however, need to be managed in a different tool.
