Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Miro is being used for teaching students in the design department how to formulate design plans and structures in weekly tutorials. It's also being used in group work for collaborating between students for homework and assignment tasks. It helps students create and manipulate wireframes for an app and website design, which really helps students learn about how to begin their design processes with the premade wireframe structures and icons.
  • Wireframes and Icons for prototyping.
  • Collaborative work accommodation.
  • Sticky notes for affinity diagramming.
  • The mobile website could be improved for user editing. When using miro on mobile, it's not possible to edit the boards and is view only.
  • When many people are on one board, Miro becomes very laggy and stops responding.
  • It's hard to draw directly in Miro during times when sketching is needed for prototype sketching.
  • Improved group work efficiency.
  • Reduced project completion time.
  • Improved productivity.
Miro was a great implementation as it accommodates most of the tasks that we need to complete in-class such as wireframing, collaborative feedback process between peers, affinity diagramming...etc. It's easy to use and perfect for beginners who just started in the field of product design or UX/UI design as it has many premade structures you can choose from to start your projects.
It's easy to use even for beginners as it has icons that match its functions such as sticky notes, shape tools...etc. The wireframing function also includes many useful wireframes which you can simply drag and drop onto your board to start creating your wireframes. It's also easy to create mockups in addition to this as it's easy to change the colors of the wireframes, making it a cohesive overall experience.
Yes, Miro's whiteboard has greatly helped in conducting collaborative work with peers, especially in the current remote conditions where we can't meet face to face. It has made it easy for multiple users to edit a single board at the same time with real-time saving functions so that your work is never lost and you don't have to manually save.

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro has premade wireframes which makes the wireframe and prototyping process easier. Figma doesn't have these premade wireframes and icons so you have to create them from scratch or import them which makes the prototyping process more time-consuming. Miro lets users access wireframes and icons through its wireframes library which is efficient for making low-fidelity prototypes.
Miro is appropriate for producing simple wireframes with your team for app or website prototyping and the idea generation process. However, when sketching or working with many people in a team, Miro would not be the best choice due to its poor accommodation for large groups and inconvenient sketching functions.
