Overall Satisfaction with Miro
I have used Miro both in a professional and academic context. In the professional context, I used it as a project management tool which allowed for easy collaboration, planning, and activity tracking through various projects. It was very useful since it allowed for multimedia, chats, multiple revisions, comments, links, and images. My team used it as a more friendly version of project management tools, as well as for collaboration and presentation. In an academic context, I used it in software development project teams for collaborating, planning, storing of resources, and so forth. It allowed us to keep ideas and prototype them, as well as show diagrams and mock-up interfaces.
- Very friendly user interface.
- Many different components.
- Keeping track of edits.
- Having different frames to organize sections of the board.
- Infinite whiteboard.
- Creating and storing "new" components using existing components could be a very good addition.
- Improved collaboration and understanding between team members.
- Enhanced project management with clearer goals.
- Improved productivity.
With COVID-19 remote work has become essential and Miro has allowed for this to be much easier. Having the infinite whiteboard and all the tools and components available allows for collaboration and presentation of ideas as well as progress (for example, in design reviews or standup meetings). Ideas are easily conveyed through the use of flowcharts and roadmaps which can have images as well as links to more information. Leaving comments on team members' work asynchronously and having a track of discussions is also a big bonus.
