Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I use Miro regularly to facilitate sessions, collaborate with colleagues, and do a lot of prep for user experience strategy work. While a lot of the collaboration is with members of my immediate design team, we are also frequently using Miro with product and development stakeholders; even extending into senior leadership for final deliverables. It can really depend on the scope of the workshop, project, or deliverable on any given day.
  • Creating complex documentation
  • Collaborating with others
  • Organizing large amount of information
  • Organizing files
  • Search and find items in old documents
  • Tracking comments and actions across boards
  • Increased collaboration from previously disengaged stakeholders
  • Faster iteration on concepts
  • Running cool testing and experiments to iterate more quickly
There are a few features that I would tweak but overall it's a great tool once you know how to use it. That being said, I am a power user. Sometimes I bring people who are not familiar with Miro in for a workshop and they are overwhelmed by all of the controls and options available in the tool.
I am frequently moving out of Miro into other tools like Figma, and they definitely don't play super nice together. Overall, Miro seems like a standalone tool, which is great until you need to integrate or export the data to something else.
I have never met any of my co-workers in person. We work exclusively remotely. Miro lets us all see and work on the same board. In collaboration sessions, we ensure that the cursors are turned on so we can see what others are doing. Miro is a nice tool for working sessions and fun activities as well.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

We had already implemented Miro before discovering these other tools.
Miro is great when collaborating with others and when you need to make quick iterations on a concept or idea, or if you are working at low fidelity. I would not recommend Miro if you are working on any actual final design deliverable that you are handing off to others to use after you.
