Overall Satisfaction with Miro

In times of hybrid work Miro is a life saver to facilitate meetings, make group decisions and work collaboratively on any type of content. It helps to keep participants engaged and focused. As a Scrum Master who is working with remote teams 99% of time, I cannot imagine doing my job without Miro.
  • Working simultaneously with a group of people - no lags, delays, errors
  • Structuring boards into projects and teams so you know what is where
  • Possibility to use different type of contnent - postits, shapes, text, pictures, movies
  • Voting and timer functionalities are important for smooth meeting facilitation
  • Maybe some kind of integration with MS Teams and breakout rooms
  • Adding sound experience - the facilitator (or anyboby) can play a sound from the library or any other source for the whole group - it would add a twist to our meetings
  • AI module for making notes out of selected content - texts on postits, schemas
  • Reduced time to prepare a complex meeting scenario
  • Higher engagement of the group during meeting comparing to "just talk"
Our engineers use Miro do discuss and visualise technical matters, they draw schemas, system elements and concepts. Currently 99% of teams are working remotely or hybrid so we needed a tool to replace working together in a single room e.g. using flipcharts or writing of physical peaces of paper. Miro provided more than that because it give some facilitation tools as well.

I often use Miro for Retrospectives with my teams or any other groups. Before the meeting I create frames that are in line with the scenario I design. Usually we move from left to right through them. The function "Bring everyone to me" is really helpful here. I hide frames that are not currently under discussion to keep the group focused. After an energiser (often found in Miroverse, which is cool), we gather topics. This can be done in countless ways, anything you can imagine - tables, pictures, themes. We use voting module to select most important topics. Timer is used e.g. while discussing topics in the groups. Finally we note actions for the future. I also ask for feedback about the meeting by leaving a postit or a mark/dot on a scale.
