Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I use Miro as a virtual whiteboard and brainstorming tool both in my individual work and cross functionally. Miro has helped my team understand the current states of programs, identify swim lanes, and crowdsource ideas for improvement. A big problem it has addressed for us is collecting many team member's knowledge on certain subjects and programs in one place so we can examine areas of concern and identify patterns. It has been invaluable for us to collect, organize, brainstorm, and action ideas for our department and company.
  • Visually collect ideas
  • Organize ideas into actions
  • Design swim lanes and scopes of work
  • It can be difficult to view and understand an entire board at times because of how large they can get.
  • The flowchart functionality is a little clunky to use. The automation connecting arrows to boxes is both overly sensitive and not sensitive enough. The arrows snap into a shape that is often undesirable, but can't really be adjusted very much.
  • Miro has significantly reduced the time it takes to collect ideas when working on a large project with a large distributed team.
  • Miro has reduced the time it takes to visually showcase developing and finalized ideas to stakeholders.
Miro is incredibly easy to use. It's highly intuitive and was a breeze to integrate into our company's regular workflow. It takes maybe five minutes of use to get used to, but after that is extremely user friendly and we've received feedback that our team members enjoy using the tool to brainstorm and get organized.
Miro has allowed us to collect thoughts and feedback from distributed team members super quickly and easily. Often we will host a big brainstorming session with many distributed team members and then spend some time organizing those ideas into categories. At our next meeting we are able to review the categories for importance and urgency, and then develop a full project plan.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro is an excellent tool for companies who are primarily remote to collaborate. I have used the tool with team members across the US to gather and organize their thoughts and ideas very quickly in one place, as well as play some fun opinion-based games. Miro is less appropriate for in person use, as it keeps everyone's eyes on their computer vs engaging with the conversation taking place physically, but it is still useful in that circumstance.
