Overall Satisfaction with monday.com

  • Easier project management.
  • Time saving through task automations.
  • Better inventory management workflow.
We use Monday.com daily across the organization to manage our day-to-day tasks, staff leave management, inventory management, as well as company high-level planning. We organize the documentations and financial data using different boards on monday.com, and use its tools to generate charts and reports that help us keep track of the project progress and our financial status.
  • Automate the inventory management process.
  • Visualize and generate reports for project management.
  • Assign tasks to colleagues and discuss project details.
  • More integration to other platforms.
  • Difficult to find and identify particular files in the file view.
  • The subitems feature is good, but has quite limited integration with its other features, such as views and dashboards.
The interface of monday.com is easy to use, it also has both the browser web client and the mobile client for ease of access. When it is used for project management, it can be a huge time saver and help to organize the tasks and keep track of progress nicely.

Monday.com has a rather intuitive interface that resembles a spreadsheet, so it's rather easy to transition to using this tool if you are already familiar with using spreadsheets to manage your work. It works nicely in scenarios where things can be itemized and put together in a structured manner, yet it's more limited when information has to be shared and linked up across multiple boards, or when advanced formulas are used to display information more dynamically. In this way, it is less preferred when performing specific tasks that require pulling information from multiple data sources and perform advanced data manipulation.
monday.com is accessible using a browser or the mobile app, although the mobile app is quite limited in terms of its feature. One major drawback when using the web client is that monday.com does quite a lot of calculations on the client-side, i.e. on the browser; in situations when the board is using data from multiple linked boards, it may fail to retrieve data from the linked boards, and thus render information that is not updated or incorrect. It bothers me sometimes.

Do you think monday.com delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with monday.com's feature set?

Yes

Did monday.com live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of monday.com go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy monday.com again?

Yes

Monday.com is better suited for low-level project management where you can breakdown the task and manage the human resources to get things done more efficiently. It is good that you can use it to keep track of progress of individual projects. However, when it comes to aggregating information from several different boards or data sources to present a full picture of all things going on, it requires a level of proficiency in understanding how Monday.com functions and its limitations. It takes a lot of time to design a particular particular workflow if what you want to achieve does not fit into how monday.com works, but once the workflow is set up, it works nicely.
