Overall Satisfaction with monday.com

Our work involves a mostly-agile work stack but it needs to regularly adapt to new requirements and ad-hoc tasks. We use Monday.com to manage our workload, plan and schedule the work we will do on tasks, provide visibility to the customers of our progress, and provide notifications of important pieces of work that may affect others.
  • Quick and easy management of a schedule with Timeline views
  • Lots of built in options for automation and visualisation for upward reporting
  • Accessible API with good documentation for adding custom functionality on top
  • More base automation controls would simplify things a lot. There's been a few situations where we've turned to the API.
  • Common value/filtering controls in all areas - e.g. in a built-in filter I can look for "All done status" in a status column, in formula I can only look for a specific individual status so can't leverage the same automated inclusion of a new "done" status.
  • Significant time savings in the planning and adjustment of schedules (I keep going back to this point but every other tasks management system we used couldn't quickly adjust a whole persons plan, the timeline view is aces)
The interface and automations are incredibly useful, quick to learn, and set up. The only reason I've not given a 10/10 is due to some features, which feel like they should be included, missing from the set. For example, built-in filters on a view can filter a status column to "All Done statuses". However, if I build a formula column to look at the same status column I can only check for the presence of specific values.
I've only had to raise a few questions on features and functionality with monday.com but they've always been responded to very quickly. In each case, the assigned person took the time to understand my query, work through some examples to get into the details and work with us to find a solution to the issue we faced.
All the features I've used in monday.com have worked as described in their documentation.

Yes

Anyone who does agile project work, but has several layers of management above them who always want the new thing now instead of sticking to planned sprints...😁 could benefit from Monday.com by using the timeline view to quickly adjust multiple items in a planned schedule, and automations and linked board columns to provide visibility of the changing work stack.

monday.com & Collaboration

The ability to link boards and share item details automatically has massively simplified our ability to communicate progress and workload within and out with our team. This has reduced the need for constant chasing by email/phone/IM as anyone who needs to can see what's happening and when at a glance from their own view.
I'd give it a 10.
Other tools I've used for project management don't make it quick and easy for an individual to adjust their workload. As soon as one new/high priority thing comes in, lots of things need to shift right, and few tools make that as easy to do as monday.com.
