Overall Satisfaction with Paychex Flex

I have a very small company with 6 people on the current payroll. Only 2 of those people work Full Time and one is very Part Time and out of state. Paychex is a complete payroll program providing all the documentation a company needs for legal. The business has different entries for each employee being paid differently. We do 26 payrolls each year, every two weeks. The 3 other employees work for less than one or two payrolls per year at most. For this payroll they want to charge over $50 per pay period and I feel this is ridiculous. Sometimes they charge me $39 per pay period and I feel that is more reasonable. I will continue looking for another company that charges less.
  • Gets the Payroll done promptly
  • Reports look clean
  • Payroll specialist is able to enter the payroll for me to generate reports
  • When errors are made in Payroll entries, they have to do it again and uses 2 X paper
  • Make corrections to original entries and then just one copy of the reports are needed
  • Simple to report on line, I provide a worksheet and documents and specialist enters it
  • After payroll corrections are made you have to print up a complete extra set, lots of pgs
I have not used the reporting - Your reports are fine and acceptable with accountants.
Sometimes things go well, I'd say we onliy have to reprint payrolls 5-6 times per year. We are very small and have only 3 entries (employees) for each payroll. But they want to charge $100 per 2 payrolls and I think that's a little high. Sometimes they charge me $39.30 per payroll but keep telling me that is only a temporary rate.
They used to give competitive rates versus their competitors, but I see lower priced options out there and may have to start looking.

Do you think Paychex Flex delivers good value for the price?

No

Are you happy with Paychex Flex's feature set?

Yes

Did Paychex Flex live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Paychex Flex go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Paychex Flex again?

Yes

Its good and people are fine, but I'm getting tired of them wanting to raise the rates.
The payroll and reports are good. For Quarters and Year ends.

Over $100 per month is too much to charge for 3-6 person payroll.
