Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
We use Paylocity for payroll, performance reviews and time keeping.
Overall they are really great. My only problem would be that since Covid it seems the staff are not quite as knowledgeable as was the case prior to Covid. I am sure this will improve with time and experience, but there has been a noticeable difference.

- Moving from previous payroll to Paylocity was very smooth. Certainly better than I had expected it would be.
- Functionality of the payroll is great and is easy to use
- Online resources are great
- They hooked us up with an HR resource company which has also been very helpful
- Missing functionality - we have some employees that work in 2 departments. When it comes to approving time worked, only one department head can approve. This makes no sense since the data is there when they clock in and out, and there pay is divided between the departments correctly.
- As mentioned earlier, I feel that something changed when Covid hit. Staff had always been exceptionally knowledgeable about the product. But since Covid, they seem so much less so.
- We have had a couple of issues with onboarding new employees from time to time, especially connected with I9 information. It always gets resolved, though recently with this issue, someone at Paylocity gave the payroll administrator completely wrong information. (again, I think this "wrong information" would not have happened prior to Covid)
- Definitely reduced costs as we had been with a PEO before which was a disaster
- Definitely more user friendly than the last payroll company we were using, in all areas
- WE had not used a time card feature with previous payroll company, but use this function with Paylocity. It certainly has save a lot of time and work
Certainly has helped as mentioned in previous questions. But I can't say that this allows for any change in talent acquisition, retention etc.
We have mostly focused on payroll and time keeping and only recently started using Community. So far it has been a useful tool for us, though I am unsure if all the staff are using it. I cannot comment on Surveys or Premium Video as I don't know what that is and how useful that might be.
We had a pretty bad experience with ADP Total Source, so moving the Paylocity was the best thing we ever did. ADP TS is a PEO and not only do they charge so much, it is also very restrictive for the organization. WE had used ADP a stand alone before moving to Total Source, that wasn't too bad, but still not nearly as great as Paylocity.
