Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We use Paylocity on a daily basis for all aspects of HR, including payroll. Like all other payroll systems, it has great features and some not so great features. It is fairly user friendly, but can be difficult to navigate sometimes, less customizable than I would like and doesn't do some of the automatic calculations that other payroll systems are smarter with.

  • Calculating amounts owed, etc when terminating employees
  • Deduction customizations
  • Equipment/ Device tracking
  • More time spent in Payroll
  • Better costs
Haven't been able to use it to its full potential yet.
Gusto was my favorite overall, but would have been too pricey with the growth that we had projected.
Paychex was great, but the customer service was terrible.
ADP was meh. More trouble than it was worth.

We have issues when an employee has been terminated but we still need to process the final payroll. We also have issues customizing certain deductions or reimbursement types, etc. Overall, it could be more user friendly, too many ways to get to the same thing and Time off tracking, etc more complicated than it should be.
