Overall Satisfaction with QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise

This is a perfect solution for a small business. It works well to track receivables and payables. It easily saves customer data so billing can be done quickly. With limited accounting knowledge - it keeps the information in orderly fashion so it can be given to the accountant and managed. Processes are streamlined - and while we don't use all of the features, we are able to scale it to our needs.
  • Tracks sales.
  • Tracks payables.
  • As someone who struggles with accounting, it's difficult to understand some of the balancing features.
  • Keystrokes are not standard to windows shortcut keystrokes and I have sometimes voided a transaction instead of pasting data.
  • We have been able to do 'book work' anywhere.
  • Able to spend less time on data entry - more time on business.
We have not compared to any listed - had looked at Peachtree, and simply using Excel spreadsheets. This process used to be done manually with paper cards.
I have found this to be well suited to a small to mid size company with a limited - manageable line of business. It's easy to train, use, doesn't require accounting background and keeps you on track. Small companies with small teams work well. While it can be scaled larger - my experience is with small operations.
