Overall Satisfaction with RealVNC

We have many advertisement players in our campus. Since there are so many of them, we can't run around to see what's playing. And RealVNC resolves all the problems of running around to just see what's playing. We can see all players' screen in a computer. And of course, we can control all the players we want.
  • We can connect to all the channel players.
  • Just like sitting in front of those players.
  • Only problem is that we can't remote to a computer if we are outside the local network, but can so do from home because I can just forward the port from the router. In the campus, it's too much trouble to get that configuration done.
  • For a local network connection to have control over another PC is the best feature.
  • If I need to connect to the client, and the client needs to get licensed software to install, that can stop me from using this software. I'd like to see a feature like TeamViewer and others so that they can download a free client and I can remote to them.
RealVNC existed before TeamViewer, and that's why we stay with RealVNC. Now it seems like when we try to connect from outside the network, only TeamViewer can do that job very well. So far I don't see RealVNC has a similar feature that we need without changing any setting from the router.
Really hope to see that feature soon from RealVNC.
The encryption is the most important feature that we want since that is one of the requirements for all the connections from one computer to others. Another feature is it can print from the remote PC back to my local printers, that saves a lot of time.

Using RealVNC

15 - I am the technical support for the channel players we have in the campus, to make sure all the players are running.
2 - The skills that you need to know to support the RealVNC - software is not needed since it isn't hard to learn at all.
  • Remote to their PC
  • Printer from remote to local
  • Encrypted security
  • Have a client install the server and I can remote over.
  • Ther software is being evaluated and not sure that we will continue using it.
It doesn't have a feature that TeamViewer has.

Able to remote to another PC without seat on that PC.
I would remote from outside the local area network.

RealVNC Implementation

No problem at all, love the product.
Change management was a small part of the implementation and was well-handled - Not hard at all, only took 3 to 5 minutes to finish for each machine.
