Overall Satisfaction with Rippling

We use Rippling to manage hiring, onboarding, payroll, benefits, and time/attendance. With very few year round employees and several hundred season employees, we have never been able to find a good payroll service. Rippling has made payroll super simple and more cost effective. The onboarding tools are also amazing that allows my seasonal employees to upload or complete online, which makes my job easier and has increased the overall productivity once the season begins - not having to worry about paperwork during training, etc. The step-by-step prompts are very human and easy to follow. Rippling has also made our open enrollment less painful for benefits. This year was super smooth and I can keep second guessing the contributions since it is done automatically with Rippling. Their help system is also very effective, and they are quick to respond if there isn't already useful articles or resources in their vault.

  • With seasonal staff, it would be nice to be able to alter the type of salary (hourly, monthly, weekly) to show per season.

Paychex is not as comprehensive, doesn't have as many tools or plugins, and is more clunky. There are a lot of things that have to be done manually, like benefit contributions, that result in higher human error. Rippling doesn't feel like a big company, and the customer services is more robust.
Sometimes I wish I could get to a person sooner but the resources they have are very in depth and useful. The week before the EOY, they were extremely helpful and attentive with an error that I had made and the various options for how to solve it. I was worried they would be OOO because of the holidays but still got back to me in a very timely manner.

It is great but there is always room for improvement.
It is useful to me, from a cost and functionality perspective, because we have year round and seasonal employees. The software and hardware connections are irrelevant to me but continue to pop up.
