Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

Sage Intacct is being used across the whole organization. My area of the practice uses it to track projects, for reporting, and to distribute updates to the client on project status.
  • Reporting, Sage Intacct allows for you to set up customer reporting
  • Project Information, Sage Intacct allows for you to consolidate project details in an easy to use format
  • Project Status, Sage Intacct has a feature that allows us to monitor project status and send updates to the client directly via email
  • We currently do not have a lot of metrics or visuals that we use. There is room for improvement there.
  • I know that project hours are in Intacct, but I run them out of another system as they are not always easy to locate or accurate in Intacct.
  • It allows for a one stop place to review project details
  • Reports and dashboards, once set up, are easy to navigate
My area of the organization uses Sage Intacct for project management. In the past I have used Sage Intacct to enter Journals which was very easy to do. I do not believe automation in either of these cases would be necessary. However, I have found that automation from Sage Intacct into other systems via integration have been easy and seamless.
I would think that my use on Sage Intacct would fall under project accounting. I have found that the tool has allowed for visibility across teams on projects which allows for us to complete client projects successfully and in a timely manner.
I was not part of the configuration at my company, however, we do have a consulting team that assists clients in configuration. I have worked with that team to integrate Sage Intacct into budgeting systems. This has been a very seamless process in my experience.

I have used Sage Intacct as both an accounting tool and as a project management tool. I feel it is better suited as an accounting tool because the functionality works a lot better. The project management tool can be clunky and hard to navigate. I am not always sure where to fill in information or how that information flows back into dashboards and reports.
