Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

We needed a solution that would allow employees to work remotely and timely. We were using 4 different software programs to accomplish our accounting duties and are now down to 2 that are integrated. Our labor time was reduced by over 25% due to the solutions Sage Intacct provides.
  • Invoice approvals
  • Payment processing
  • reporting availability to management
  • Customized fields reporting
  • Inventory processes
  • Customer reports
  • 25% Reduction in finance related time
Accounts payable is where we saw our greatest reduction in employee hours. The automates system has saved our AP clerks and managers a lot of time. We use to have to upload everything into a different system and handle all the invoices multiple times, this allows us to enter the invoices and then only touch them if they are coded wrong. It also reduces a lot of errors and corrections due to the manager approval process.
We used a consulting firm to help with the configuration. Sage Intacct was pretty hands off through the whole process.

Quickbooks desktop is great for start up organizations. In my opinion, it lacks a lot of features and has a lot of instances where only one user can access a certain area at a time. Sage Intacct allows multiple users to be do similar functions at the same time. Quickbooks did have a lot of template customization options that Sage Intacct does not have, but it offers a lot more features such as invoice approval management that Quickbooks did not. NetSuite is a great solution, but extremely expensive so those agencies with low Net Income. Sage Intacct is worth the added expensive over quickbooks for a mid-size organization.
As our organization grows, the ability to give other managers access to financial reports at the finger tips is a huge plus. This system allows those managers to run their own financial reports and see a history of their invoices. I think the invoice approval process is fantastic because it ensures expenses are coded correctly. The ability to report inventory based on usage by customer is an area where we struggle as well as donor relations. Creating a donation report for donation receipts has been a struggle for us.
