Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are IT software company. We use SAP to streamline our sales, services and marketing processes. SAP with its analytics and recommendations enabled our team to pre-plan our new project. Along with this we use SAP Analytics to analyse why certain deals were lost and what team would have done to get more successful closer making our sales team overall performance good.

Pros and Cons

Analytics: we are big fan of SAP analytics and detailed information it give we use it for our sales process extensively
Integration: with easy integration with 3rd party application we integrate SAP instance with open air and netsuite
Database management: SAP has one of the best database management . Easy to find recrired data and make automation to translate this data is one of the best features we recommend everyone

Report and dashboard: it could be more dynamic and user friendly . SAP can add more out of the box configuration for end user so end users themselves can create more powerful report and dashboard without reaching out to it
Overall performance: Right now SAP Has done a lot of good things but their overall performance is just not upto market standards it takes time if not always but sometimes to load simple data
Ease to integrate: SAP Needs to give more ootb features to easy integration with 3rd party application

Return on Investment

SAP has overall increased our manual human efforts to do our daily job through automation
With workflow and automation power increasing after each release our IT Team is able to configure more complex implementation without writing much code
Low code implementation and easy deployment has overall reduce time we took to release new features for our end user

Usability

With low code implementation and easy deployment SAP can be used to implement complex buisness problem in much lower time . With SAP out of the box features Enterprise level companies can just purchase licence and start their SAP journey as most of the standard buisness problem are resolved easily with SAP OOTH functionality and with easy low code tools complex problems are also implemented much faster

Support Rating

SAP as product Is one of the best in the ecosystem but can't say the same for their support . SAP Support take much longer time to get back to you or to resolve the issue we feel in the product this is one point SAP has to work . They have SLA Setup but support give useless updates and their sla keeps on increasing

Alternatives Considered

Salesforce CMS and Salesforce CPQ

SAP is there in the buisness from lot earlier then any of the completing product our thus SAP has more out of the box features present than any of the completing companies . There are so many resources available Sap community is very large and most of the business blocker can be resolved easily by using SAP communities . Also SAP Cost less and provide more value

BEST USES: we use SAP for automatic record approvals, earlier our Sales reps had to reach out to our account managers to give additional discounts to particular accounts it used to delay the closers of our deals but with approvals, we have automated this process, and we were able to save so much time and human efforts.
