Overall Satisfaction with Slack

We use Slack to communicate team-wide. We all work remote, from all over the world. Many of us work on the same project, just different pieces of it. We also set up a channel for each client that we work with, giving them access to it as well. This way they have a direct line of communication with the team that is managing their services. Works great!
  • Team chat. Pretty simple, but it just works well.
  • Integrations. Just about everything under the sun integrates with Slack, even platforms you wouldn't expect. But they all seem to have a great use case.
  • Document sharing. Great integration with G drive and other cloud drives.
  • Channel organization. Super easy to create group channels and direct chats.
  • Notifications. Work great, and love the customizability. Love that you can set business hours as well, so there are automatic "Do not disturb" hours.
  • Cost. There are a lot of amazing features, but it's not a cheap platform. But I think the functionality justifies it.
  • It just brings our business together across the globe in ways that email just wouldn't be able to do.
Slack's notifications are better than Teams. But I like document sharing in Teams better--you can edit Work, Excel, and other docs right in the app. Slack has way more integrations and is more fun to use.
Never had to contact support, so don't know.

Do you think Slack delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Slack's feature set?

Yes

Did Slack live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Slack go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Slack again?

Yes

Really great for communication with our team and clients. We can set it up to notify us for various things as well, things like support tickets, task due tasks, document sharing, etc. They have a free version, but the best features are paid. If you want to be able to make document edits within the app, it might not be the best since it just shares browser links. Teams works well for this.
