Overall Satisfaction with Slack

We use Slack in our organization mainly for internal communication, as well as communications with some of our customers. The main business problem that Slack addresses is how to communicate quickly between coworkers, and how to easily send pieces of code and files. The scope of our use case is mainly for internal communication, sending files and sharing code between employees, as well as some Slack bots/automations we developed.

  • Sharing files
  • Slack Huddle can be improved
  • A way to control the screen of another use through Slack
  • Direct Messages

  • Integrations
  • Speed up internal processes
Slack is much faster than Microsoft Teams, and, in my opinion, provides more features and integrations with 3rd party tools.

Do you think Slack delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Slack's feature set?

Yes

Did Slack live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Slack go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Slack again?

Yes

I think that in most companies that are not relying on Azure and Office365, Slack is the perfect choice for internal communication between employees, as well as communication with external users. In cases that the organization already heavily rely on Office 365, Slack might not be relevant since Microsoft Teams will integrate better with the other Microsoft tools.
