Overall Satisfaction with Slack

I use Slack everyday. it is the primary tool for communication and collaboration between all my team members and the entire organisation. Slack is the most essential tool to get my job done. It helps me connect with anyone in the organisation. I also get alerts on Slack such as when files have been shared with me, calendar alerts, and alerts where Slack had been integrated with internal tools.
  • I can see the entire history of all the messages I ah exchanged with a person. I can also have access to all the files we have shared between each other.
  • It helps me create groups which facilitates collaboration between multiple stakeholders.
  • I can huddle anyone at anytime and the audio is very clear. I have the ability to share my screen as well, which is very helpful.
  • I can set reminders to messages and Slack reminds me about them.
  • Slack needs to have a task management tool also. This would be very helpful to keep track of my tasks as well as keep a check on my team members tasks.
  • I am not aware of many of the automations that can be used in Slack. Conducting educational sessions and providing demos about features would help in adoption of them.
  • Sometimes huddle does not work as expected. I witness some glitches where my screen is not shared. But this happens rarely.
  • It helps save a lot of time s I can instantaneously connect with anyone. I can directly huddle them and message them.
  • I can tag only the relevant folks in a large channel /group. This minimises distractions for other users.
  • It is very helpful for asynchronous work as well. IU can post the updates and as and when people are available they can get the updates.
  • It's ability to integrate with G Suite and multiple other internal tools is a huge value addition.
Slack has message history unlike Skype. Also Slack has the ability to share large files, have automations, remainders, schedule messages, integration with multiple tools etc. Whereas Skype does not have all these features. Teams takes up a lot of system resources. Whereas Slack works very efficiently on my system. Also there are a lot more integrations available on Slack. It is much very easy to customise Slack compared to Teams. Teams has very limited customisations. Overall Slack adds more value to us.

Do you think Slack delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Slack's feature set?

Yes

Did Slack live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Slack go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Slack again?

Yes

It is an extremely intuitive, easy to use and reliable communication tool. It maintains entire history of conversations so I can go back to previous messages anytime. It just works really well. It does exactly what I expect a communication tool to do. Also when working with external vendors we have the ability to add them to specific channels with restricted access. This is another plus point.
